Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Charity Foundation (“Foundation”) is a charity organization which has provided medical services in Hong Kong over a century. Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the Foundation and/or its service units is committed to safeguard the personal information of web users. The Foundation will limit the collection and use of personal information to the purpose directly related to the function or activities stated on the collection. No personal data shall be disclosed to other organisation or individuals without consent of the web users.
General Principle
Foundation collects personal information from web users on a voluntary basis only. Personal information, including but not limited to name, telephone number, facsimile number, address, e-mail address, etc. will only be collected to organize, coordinate and carry out activities to support or encourage charitable and/or health related works organized and undertaken by the Foundation and/or its service units and to publicize and promote such works. All reasonably practicable actions shall be taken by the Foundation to ensure that personal data collected and retained are accurate and securely protected. The Foundation will not sell, rent or transmit personal information to other organizations without web user’s consensus.
Collection and Use
When web users visit the website of Foundation, our service provider will only record their IP address and the pages browsed. No personal identifiable information of users shall be collected. The aggregate information will be collected for compiling statistical reports, and diagnosing problems with or concerning computer systems to help the Foundation improve our website.
Storage and Access
All personal information that web user provides to the Foundation is secured on our server with restricted access. The Foundation reserves the right to use agents, who are bound by strict confidentiality guideline, to perform storage and processing functions. Only designated staff or agents are permitted to view user’s personal data.
