九龍東聯網非常重視創意與科技的發展, 自從二零一八年成立「九龍東智慧醫院發 展委員會」推動「智慧醫院」,已於兩年間 推展超過 90 個智慧項目,並得到卓越的 成績。項目的成功有賴員工積極支持和參 與,聯合醫院持續透過員工講座、不同小 組等,令同事能透過這些互動平台作出建 議與交流,並發揮創意。因應冠狀病毒病 疫情持續,二零二零年初試行的「遙距醫 療」先導計劃繼續推展到更多臨床部門, 為合適的病人進行網上覆診,以減低病人 因到訪醫院而染疫的風險。此外,為配合 自動化的新時代,本院引入智慧機械人試 行計劃,協助醫護人員清潔及運輸等日常 工作,以減輕醫護人員工作量,並減低疾 病傳播風險。聯合醫院的擴建工程正如火 如荼,本院將與跨專業團隊進一步研究和 引入創新科技,開拓及落實「智慧醫院」 的可行方案,以期改善病人服務、優化病 人就診流程、加強物流和工作間等支援, 務求為社區帶來更優質的醫療服務。
surgery. This programme was expanded to cover other services with surgical interventions for taking care of patients' needs before and after surgery. In addition, KEC had launched drug refill services and implemented the inpatient drug distribution model. The enhancement had reduced the lead time of pharmacy service which led to increase of service capacity.
KEC attaches importance of innovation and technology in service development. Since ''KEC Smart Hospital Committee'' was founded in 2018 to lead the smart hospital development, over 90 smart projects had been put up in two years with remarkable achievements. The active support and participation from members in the cluster had contributed to encouraging results of smart projects. UCH continued to maintain staff engagement in smart hospital development via staff forums and working groups. Relevant interactive platform was anchored for exchange of ideas, knowledge and innovation by colleagues. In light of the impact of COVID-19 throughout 2020, the teleconsultation service piloted in UCH last year had been extended to more clinical departments in KEC. Through this initiative, the risk of patients being exposed to infection during hospital visit could be minimized. To cope with the era of automation, UCH had introduced the trial of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) in assisting daily hospital operation such as disinfection and material delivery so as to reduce the heavy workload of healthcare workers and to improve infection control. The UCH expansion project brings new vision and new opportunity. The hospital will further explore and introduce innovative technologies with a view to transforming the smart hospital concept into vivacious practice. The hospital will also excel towards quality healthcare services by incorporating ''smartness'' into the masterplan of improving patient care, optimizing patient journey, as well as streamlining logistics and workplace support.
