「攜手同行」癌症家庭支援計劃啟動禮 WHIH Project Launching Ceremony
前言
雅麗氏何妙齡那打素慈善基金會由 二零一八年九月起成為香港防癌會 – 賽馬 會「攜手同行」癌症家庭支援計劃的夥伴 機構，獲香港賽馬會慈善信託基金資助經 費，在新界區(離島、荃灣及葵青區除外) 營辦大埔中心，推行第二階段的三年計劃。 在計劃的最後階段，同工面對疫情持續， 各項防疫措施和社交距離的限制，加上癌 症患者及家人的需要出現變化，促使我們 必須轉變過往的外展工作模式，秉承「矜 憫為懷」的精神，開展更多適合癌症患者 及其家庭的支援服務。
攜手同行計劃新面貌
「攜手同行」癌症家庭支援計劃的目標是向 癌症患者及其家庭提供個人化、以家庭為 中心，全程和全方位的支援。香港防癌會 與協作夥伴於二零二零年六月二十三日舉 行啟動禮，讓公眾人士更清晰了解本計劃 的使命及願景。啟動禮中，多名服務使用 者分享「攜手同行」計劃服務如何協助他
Prologue
Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Charity Foundation became a collaborating organization of HKACS-Jockey Club ''Walking Hand- in-Hand'' Cancer Family Support Project ( ''WHIH Project'' ) since September 2018. Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Tai Po Centre has been operating in the New Territories (excluding Outlying Islands, Tsuen Wan and Kwai Ching districts) to implement the second phase of the three-year programme. In the final stages of the WHIH Project, our colleagues faced the ongoing epidemic, the implementation of infection control measures and social distancing restrictions, coupled with the changes in the needs of cancer patients and their families. We had to change the outreach service model and develop more support services suitable for cancer patients and their families with the spirit of ''Serving with Compassionate Love'' .
A New Face of WHIH Project
The mission of WHIH Project is to provide personalized, family- focused and holistic support services to cancer patients and their family caregivers. A launching ceremony was held on 23 June 2020 by Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society and the strategic partners, to further elicit the mission of the WHIH Project. Service users shared their experience on how the WHIH Project helped them through their anti-cancer journey, which confirmed the importance of service.
