There were 115 NGO frontlines and volunteers attending Training
on Serving Frail Elderly in Winter. The training included skills and
knowledge in keeping those frail elderly healthy during winter and
preventing unnecessary admission. Participants revealed that the
training was practical

A four-session HKEC Certificate Course on
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Management for NGO
Health Carers 2014 was organized. Among the
42participants, 38 of themsuccessfully passed in
the examination and the passing rate was 90%.

about DM treatment and care

專業知識，並傳遞最新實務技巧，務求在
區內能承擔更多護理工作，減少病人再次
入院次數，促進醫社合作。
Nurturing Partnership and Empowering the Community
The sevenHKECCommunity platforms, clinical teams and community
partners strived to enhance the patient caring knowledge of the
community through training. Transfer of skill also mobilized more
community partners in taking care of patients and prevented
unnecessary admission.
