本院義工、救世軍綜合服務中心及香港中
文大學醫科學生在二零一四年六月,向居
於塔門的高危體弱長者送上關懷與支持

暑期義工大學堂為年輕人提供平台,讓他
們在暑假期間,透過在本院擔任義工瞭
解醫院服務和病人護理知識。他們協助推
行多項義工活動,例如病房探訪和進行家
訪、查詢服務、意見調查、文書支援等。
青年義工也參與了一項主題為「正向思想、
積極人生」的暑期義工病人體驗計劃,鼓勵
病人在接受治療時保持正面樂觀的態度。
近年,義工及社區發展部積極參與各項社
區計劃,推廣健康教育,多年來與社會福
利署和救世軍合辦長者「風中暖流」活動,
支援居於偏遠地區的高危體弱長者。
為推廣醫院義工精神,我們出版兩份義工
通訊,並定期舉辦義工訓練,例如家訪
技巧、電話支援技巧、健康講座、健康生
活模式、溝通技巧和感染控制等,以備義
工在社區擔當健康大使。此外,我們也安
排一系列的義工論壇、團隊建立工作坊和
活動籌備技巧培訓班,以鞏固團隊合作精
神、承傳知識。
截至二零一五年三月三十一日,本院共有
登記義工
593
名,由二零一四年四月至二零
一五年三月期間合共服務了
14,806
小時。
Summer Volunteer Programme which provides a platform for the
youth to gain understanding of hospital services and patient care
through volunteering in the Hospital during summer vacation
was organized. They supported various volunteer activities, such
as ward visit and home visit, enquiry service, conducting survey,
clerical support, etc. The youth volunteers also participated in a
patient care programme, themed “Positive Thinking and Fulfilling
Lives”, encouraging patients to stay positive and optimistic in
overcoming illness.
In recent years, Volunteer & Community Development Department
has actively participated in the community programmes to promote
health education in the community. Elderly Supportive Programme
in Cold Spell and Hot Summer have been co-organized with the
Social Work Department and Salvation Army for years, aiming to
support high risk frail elderly people in remote area.
Two Volunteer Newsletters were published for promotion of
hospital volunteerism. To train up the volunteers as health
ambassadors in the community, regular volunteer training, such
as home visit skill, phone support skill, health knowledge, healthy
lifestyle, communication skill and infection control, etc., were
held. Besides, the Volunteer Forum, Team Building Workshop
and Programme Organizing Skill Training were also organized to
strengthen the team spirit and facilitate knowledge transfer.
As at 31 March 2015, a total of 593 volunteers were enrolled and
they have served 14,806 hours from April 2014 to March 2015.
