聽力檢查室遷往電子圖表檢驗部後，耳鼻
喉科診所也展開翻新工程。工程以照顧
病人需要和員工的職業安全為重點，務求
打造合適的空間，提供優質日間服務。耳
鼻喉科診所於二零一五年二月初完成翻新
後，可容納六間診症室，並能靈活運用空
間，將內窺鏡消毒區劃分成不同區域。消
毒程序進行時得到有效分隔，為儀器進行
高規格消毒而新安裝的單向氣流系統，員
工接觸消毒劑的機會因而大大減低，其安
全與健康亦得到更大保障。此外，等候區
採用中央形式管理，在耳鼻喉科診所的入
口新增一套額外的輪候顯示管理系統，為
病人提供彈性的同時，也更有效管理病人
等候診症的流程。
With the relocation of the Audiology Clinic to EMDU, the ENT
Clinic began the renovation project to facilitate appropriate space
provision for delivery of quality ambulatory services, with emphasis
on the needs of patients and occupational safety of staff. Having
completed the revamp in early February of 2015, the ENT Clinic
can accommodate six consultation rooms with adequate flexible
space and enable zoning of the endoscope decontamination area.
Better segregation during the sterilization procedures and the
installation of unidirectional airflow system for high level disinfection
of instruments reduce disinfectant exposures, safeguarding the
safety and health of staff members. Besides, the waiting area was
centralized and an additional Queue Display Management System
was installed at the entrance of ENT Clinic, providing flexibility for
patients and at the same time facilitating the effective management
of patient flow.
